Multicultural Fair 2023

St. Thomas University recently hosted a multicultural fair, bringing together students from all around the world to showcase their culture and talents. With an 11 percent student population, it was a wonderful opportunity for students to share their heritage with their peers.

 The intricate design and bright colors of the flag were on full display. The model’s attire showcased the beauty and diversity of Indian culture, and the crowd was eager to take pictures and learn more.

The Maasai people are known for their vibrant colors and unique patterns. The model looked stunning in her attire, and it was fascinating to learn more about the history and traditions of the Maasai people.

 

International students posed for a picture in front of the different flags representing their countries. Each student had a unique story to tell and was eager to share their culture with their peers.

The music class was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about different cultures and music styles. The sounds of different instruments filled the room, and it was clear that everyone was having a great time.

The variety of foods on display highlighted the different cultures and cuisines present at St. Thomas University. The cafeteria was abuzz with excitement, with students eagerly trying new foods and sharing their culinary experiences.

There were many different exhibits on display, including dance performances, art exhibits, and cultural demonstrations. Students and faculty members alike were drawn to the displays, eager to learn more about the different cultures represented at the fair.

“This is the highlight of my year and this made me extremely happy . I haven’t been home in a year and this felt like home was brought to me ” said Sochanne a first year student from Jamaica

 

The multicultural fair at St. Thomas University was a massive success, highlighting the diversity and inclusivity that makes up the campus community.The event was a massive success, especially given the challenges posed by the pandemic. Ahmik, the President of St. Thomas University, noted that this was one of the most successful events in recent memory, and the community had come together to raise a record-breaking amount for international student bursaries.
