Dumfries Maples Sugarbush & Pancake House: A Sweet Destination for Maple Lovers

A small town nestled in the heart of Dumfries, just a 35-minute drive from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is a family-owned maple farm that has been producing high-quality maple products for over two decades.

Nathan Scott and his family have been producing maple syrup on their land since the mid-90s, and they are the only sugarbush business in the Fredericton region. The family also owns a restaurant and sugarbush tour business, the Dumfries Maples Sugarbush & Pancake House, which has become a popular destination for maple lovers near and far.

Nathan Scott and his sister started the restaurant and sugarbush tour business 15 years ago, and it has been a huge success. Their sugarbush tour takes visitors through the maple forest, where they can see the taps and lines that collect the sap from the trees.

Visitors can also learn about the process of making maple syrup. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Pancake House and Sugar Bush Tour get the most customers, with some waiting for hours to try their delicious maple syrup and homemade bread and jam.

The Scott family takes great pride in their maple products, which include maple syrup, maple butter, and maple candy. They use traditional and technical methods to produce their syrup and offer several grades to suit all tastes. Their maple butter and maple candy are also made with their own maple syrup, giving them a distinct and delicious flavour. In addition, the family also produces maple taffy, a sticky and sweet treat made by pouring hot maple syrup onto snow or ice and then rolling it up onto a stick.

The Dumfries Sugarbush & Pancake House is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The family’s commitment to quality and authenticity has earned them many positive reviews on social media and travel websites. Visitors rave about the friendly staff, delicious food, and beautiful setting. Many have even called it the best sugarbush in the region.
