Sean Cunningham

Hey! I’m Sean Cunningham, a journalism student in my first year at St. Thomas University.

I was born at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital just up the street from the university, and grew up a jaywalk across the highway. I currently work as a server at Montana’s, because if I were working two-to-three shifts a week with my level of qualifications almost anywhere else, I’d be more broke than I already am.

It took two years of an unfulfilling kinesiology degree to figure out where I needed to be, but I am very pleased with my decision to study journalism.

I believe that if the world has enough good people in it, then journalists ought to be the answer to many of the world’s problems – provided those good people are also willing to stop and listen to the information we as journalists share.

My passions include sports, philosophy, cult-TV shows, travel, nature, and whichever obscure topic piques my interest.

I’m very excited by the prospect of using my love of writing as a tool to positively influence change in the domains I’m passionate about – and the domains that need change most – via journalism.
