Hello! My name is Katherine Cecelia Hallihan, or rather K.C to those I am closest to.

I am currently in my fourth year at St. Thomas University, majoring in Criminology and minoring in Sociology. Criminology has intrigued me since I was a child, as I grew up with a father that has worked as a prison guard for the last 20 years at the maximum-security prison in Renous, NB. It fascinates me that he is surrounded by some of Canada’s most notorious criminals. This interest in crime brought me here to STU where I met amazing friends and have been experiencing life to the fullest while receiving a great education. I plan to pursue a career in the field of Criminology, focusing my attention on being a probation officer, hopefully, one day getting to work with the very criminals that my father guarded for years.

I enjoy leisure time with friends, going to the gym and traveling to new and exciting places. My most recent travelling experience with friends involved watching my favourite artist, Post Malone, perform in Boston.

I took an interest in journalism within the past year and can not wait to see what this class has in store for my classmates and me.
