Guinevere Santaguida
Guinevere or Guin is a journalism major in her third year at STU. She completed her first two years of her degree in Ottawa at Carleton University. She enjoys the arts beat and loves talking with local artists, poets, comics, and musicians. She is an arts writer for the Aquinian. She hopes one day to work in a Canadian newsroom writing stories and producing digital journalism.
Guin has lived in four cities: Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and now lives in Fredericton. She doesn’t care for spending too long in one place and decided to spend one month in Fredericton at the start of the pandemic and never left!
She enjoys reading and keeping a daily journal. Since moving to Fredericton she has developed a love for hiking and exploring New Brunswick’s many trails and peaks. She is the second eldest of nine children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is happiest in the summertime when she is able to sit outside in the sun and launch into a Steinbeck novel.
Guin volunteers with a leadership club for elementary school-aged girls called GEMS. She also has worked as a camp counselor many times and enjoys empowering girls to be leaders and actors for social change.
