Toolbox Slideshows New Brunswick’s Longest Suspension Footbridge. October 15, 2021October 15, 2021 Elijah Woodworth If adventuring the New Brunswick area the Priceville footbridge is a lovely spot to visit. It is the longest suspension footbridge in the province, originally constructed in 1938. Spanning 200m from Southwest Miramichi River at McNamee, to Priceville linking the two regions. The footbridge was rebuilt twice since 1938-1988 carrying both sad and happy memories of the years gone by. Designated a Local Historic Place for its importance to the community. A journey into the past. A peaceful walk, though wind picking up can become intimidating on a cable suspension bridge. Autumn is certainty the best season to experience the area as its colours are stunning. With a beautiful scenic view from the footbridge and water’s edge below. Returning back where the journey began, beyond the viewpoint the river is good for racing sticks.
