Etsy is an online store where crafters can create individual shops and sell their goods.
On September 28, three full rows of Etsy sellers lined the Richard J Currie Centre gym at UNB in Fredericton.
Sellers like The Fashionable Crafter normally stick to online interactions but from 10AM-6PM, they exchanged cash for goods.
It cost $5 to enter the fair but the event attracted a large crowd of those wanting to stock up on gifts and goodies.
The Etsy Made in Canada section is a part of the Etsy site where you can view Canadian shops, but now it’s an in-person event in multiple Canadian cities including, Ottawa, Calgary, Toronto, and of course, Fredericton.
For most event-goers, it may be only September, but still not too early to get into the holiday spirit with some Grinchy Christmas decor.
The market even had fun for the whole family, lots of baby clothing was sold, and some kids even showed up with their own fully-functioning Etsy shops.
Items sold ranged from homemade jewelry, clothing, home decor, holiday decorations, and paintings – all of it made with love.
