The Chronicles of Killarney Lake, Fredericton NB

With over 115km of trails, Killarney Lake is the perfect place to take your dog for a walk, go bicycling, or go for a jog.

Getting lost at Killarney Lake is difficult to do, as the city has ensured plenty of signs at the beginning, middle, and end of each trail.

For those of us who prefer winter over summer, Killarney Lake also provides groomed trails in the winter for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Can you spot the pollution? Beer cans, cigarette butts, and garbage litter the hidden trails and pathways as Killarney Lake becomes a party spot after hours.

The Killarney Lake Rotary Lodge is the perfect spot to take a break, use the washroom, and even plan a party [in the upstairs reception lounge]

And finally, the bridge that crosses Killarney Lake and the swamp is currently blocked off for civilian safety. The bridge can still be used for crossing the swamp, however, and civilians are cautioned to use common sense while crossing.
